Living in Polop

Polop lies inland in the Marina Baixa, just north of Benidorm. The village is built on a hill around its castle. The castle hill, a fortress of Moorish origin, is now a viewpoint over the valley and the sea. To the west rises the Ponoig, 1,181 m high. In the central square stands the Font dels Xorrets with 221 water spouts, each bearing the ceramic coat of arms of a different municipality.
