Inside the home

The main house has three living levels, each with its own kitchen, so each level can also be lived in on its own. The lowest level holds a fully equipped kitchen with a pantry, a dining room with a stove and a large living room. The middle level has a spacious living and dining room, a second kitchen and a laundry room. At the top is a separate apartment with a kitchen and dining area. Radiators, air conditioning, built-in wardrobes, awnings and roller shutters are part of the equipment. A storage room on the lowest level is already prepared for a sauna, and there is a wine cellar.

Outdoor living

A long driveway leads up to the house. Around 5,500 m² is fenced and laid out as a Mediterranean garden with palms, lawns, terraces and automatic irrigation. The 6 by 12 metre pool is on the middle level, with a sun terrace and an outdoor shower. Beside it is a large outdoor kitchen under a covered terrace, flanked on each side by a room with large windows that could serve as a lounge, office, gym or utility room. There is also an outdoor bathroom. Gates close off the pool and the stairs, which helps with small children or pets. The remaining land, about 6,000 m², is partly orange grove and partly arable ground, and there is a working well.

Living in Calpe

The house stands in open countryside, looking out over the hinterland and the Sierra de Bernia. The Benissa coast with its small coves is about 3 km away, the centres of Benissa and Moraira are some ten minutes by car and Calpe centre is a quarter of an hour. Calpe has about 13 km of coastline with 14 beaches and coves. Its landmark is the Peñón de Ifach, a limestone rock 332 metres high and around a kilometre long that is protected as a natural park. Within the town lies Las Salinas, a salt lagoon where migrating birds stop to rest.
