Living in Altea

Altea lies on its own bay, with the Serra de Bèrnia holding off the north winds. The old town, known as El Fornet, climbs a hill beside the parish church, a place of cobbled lanes and white houses. Every Tuesday the town holds its weekly market. From the villa the beach is about 2 km away and the centre of Altea about 6 km.
