Living in Calpe

The villa stands on the edge of the built-up area, quiet yet close to the centre and the beaches. The old town still keeps remains of its wall, together with the Torreó de la Peça and the Iglesia Antigua, a Gothic-Mudéjar church from the 15th century. At the fishing port the local fleet's catch is auctioned from Monday to Friday at about 17:00, and visitors can follow it from a walkway. Alicante airport is about 80 km by road, just over an hour's drive, and Valencia airport about 135 km, or an hour and three quarters.
