Benimeli is a small village of some 470 inhabitants in the Marina Alta, in the part known as La Rectoria. The house lies close to the village. It sits on the Serra de Segària, a ridge that draws many walkers. Farming shapes the land around the village, mainly oranges, followed by almonds and carobs.
